Athena Dion (aka Stavros Stavrakis) is a Greek-American entertainer, internationally sought-after host, and mother of the House of Dion, one of South Florida’s most celebrated drag dynasties. A Florida International University hospitality graduate fluent in English, Spanish, and Greek, Athena has headlined Miami’s drag scene for over a decade and is a featured host and performer at Jackie O’ in Mykonos, Greece.
After 13 auditions, Athena made history on Season 18 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, competing alongside her drag daughter Juicy Love Dion, winning the talent show challenge and its lip sync, and finishing in 8th place. Her drag daughters Morphine Love Dion and Plane Jane also competed on Season 16.
Renowned for her gift of gab, razor-sharp wit, and magnetic stage presence, Athena is sought after nationwide to host galas, corporate events, fundraisers, and one-woman shows. A master of crowd engagement and improvisation, she embodies the pinnacle of professionalism, where old-school drag showmanship meets modern glamour. Her impeccable looks never miss, but it’s her voice, charisma, and unmistakable presence that have built a career and inspired a dynasty.
